NEMA Programs

Through the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, NEMA is able to offer a number of programs to the CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) Community. These programs are offered to community members for a gold coin donation.

Programs available include:

NEMA is fortunate to have a skilled and experienced Smartphone tutor who provides one on one Smartphone lessons to CALD community members. Each session lasts one hour and NEMA caters for all levels of Smartphone proficiency. Sessions are offered all year round.

NEMA is fortunate to have two skilled and experienced craft instructors who provide group classes to CALD community members. Classes run for about five hours and are held a couple of times a year. 

NEMA is fortunate to have two skilled and experienced English tutors who provide both one on one and group English lessons to CALD community members. Each session lasts one hour and NEMA caters for all levels of English.

Sessions are offered all year round.

NEMA is fortunate to have three skilled and experienced IT tutors who provide group classes to CALD community members. Content covered in the class includes:

  • Basic computer use
  • Creating letters
  • Photo management
  • Creating a Christmas card
  • Internet and email use

The duration of each class is ten weeks, with the class meeting once a week (for 3 hours) during this time. Classes run at different times of the year.

 

NEMA is fortunate to have a skilled and experienced IT tutor who provides one on one and Skype and/or IT tuition to CALD community members. Each session lasts one hour and NEMA caters for all IT skill levels.
